PuppetShip Community Interest Company Activities

PuppetShip Community Interest Company is a Company Limited by Guarntee, but unlike other Limited Companies we do not have to write .Ltd after our name. This is because all Community Interest Companies can use .CIC instead.

CICs have a srong asset lock which holds assets within the Company and ultimately within the community.

PuppetShip CIC was established to provide an entertaining and educational resource for Tyne and Wear and North East Communities.

Social Enterprises who want to adopt this form of CIC company status, (Pronounced "Kick") must first submit a Community Interest Statement, to the CIC Regulator.

The CIC regulator assesses the wider community benefit, this process has become known as the "Community Interest Test".

PuppetShip passed the "CIC test" and as one of the first Community Interest Companies, in the North East, PuppetShip CIC are proud to lead the way into a new generation of community centered Social Enterprises.
